The date of Ramadan Eid celebration announced in Tajikistan

In Tajikistan, the sacred month of Ramadan in 2026 will last 29 days, and the Eid al-Fitr (Ramadan Eid) holiday will be celebrated on March 20. This was reported by “Asia-Plus” citing the Committee on Religious Affairs, Traditions, and Rituals of the country.
According to the source, on March 17, a meeting of the Council of Ulema of the country was held, where this decision was made. According to the Council’s decision, in all mosques of Tajikistan, the Ramadan Eid prayer will begin on March 20 at 7:30 in the morning.
This day is declared a public holiday in the country. At the meeting, imam-khatibs were instructed to provide material assistance to those in need in their sermons, as well as to teach about avoiding wastefulness and practicing thrift during the holiday. In addition, all imam-khatibs are tasked with delivering the congratulatory text of the Council of Ulema to the population.
