It was announced that the Ramadan Eid holiday in Kyrgyzstan in 2026 will be celebrated on March 20. This was officially reported by the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan.
It is noted that this decision was adopted at the meeting of the muftis of the member countries of the Organization of Turkic States dedicated to issuing a fatwa.
The Fatwa Council includes representatives of the official Muslim religious administrations of the OTS member states — Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, as well as the OTS observer states Turkmenistan and Hungary.
It should be recalled that in February, at the meeting of the Fatwa Council of the Council of Heads of Muslim Religious Administrations of the Organization of Turkic States held in Samarkand, it was determined that in 2026 the first day of the month of Ramadan would fall on Thursday, February 19, and Ramadan Eid would fall on Friday, March 20.
It is also noted that on February 2–4, 2026, a consultative meeting of the Fatwa Council under the Council of Heads of Muslim Religious Administrations of the countries of the Organization of Turkic States was held in the city of Samarkand. The event was organized under the leadership of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan and was attended by representatives of religious administrations of member countries of the organization and Islamic scholars.
