3,600 Quran reciters who served during Taraweeh prayers were specially rewarded

According to the decree of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, religious workers received substantial material incentives during the month of Ramadan. Through the "Waqf" fund, more than 80 billion soums have been allocated to nearly 20,000 religious workers in the country.

In particular, 10 million soums were given as gifts to each of the more than 3,600 Quran reciters who served in 1,800 mosques across the country during Taraweeh prayers.

More than 100 honorary members of the Council of Ulema were also provided with material incentives in the amount of 10 million soums.

Imam-khatibs of Friday mosques in the republic received 7 million soums, teachers received 4 million soums, and female religious teachers and neighborhood mullahs received 2 million soums in gifts. One million soums were allocated to muezzins, guards, and cleaners working in mosques.

This initiative was implemented to encourage religious workers and recognize their service during the month of Ramadan.
