In the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, the draft law "On Amendments and Additions to the Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Administrative Responsibility," introduced by deputies on the basis of legislative initiative, was discussed.
The main goal of the draft law is to strengthen public order and peace, prevent new types of offenses, and clearly define the mechanisms of responsibility for offenses.
According to the draft law, administrative liability is established for the distribution, advertising, and demonstration of materials promoting participation in armed conflicts or military actions on the territory of another state or on its side.
It is also envisaged to introduce liability for committing obscene language, offensive actions, or other actions that humiliate the honor and dignity of citizens in telecommunications networks and the global information space of the Internet. Through this, the goal is to increase legal culture in the information space and ensure the peace of citizens.
In addition, administrative liability is provided for the distribution of materials promoting offenses committed by a person in the mass media and on the Internet.
These norms contribute to the popularization of offenses and the reduction of cases of their imitation, as well as the strengthening of order and peace in society.
