Uzbekistan sharply increased demand for gasoline from Kazakhstan

Following disruptions in oil supplies from Russia, Uzbekistan has begun diversifying its fuel import routes.

In the first half of 2025, the volume of oil and condensate imports from Russia decreased by half. Including:

- Raw materials from Turkmenistan increased 5 times;

- Gas condensate from Kazakhstan has grown almost 3 times;

- gasoline imports increased almost 10 times;

- the amount of diesel has increased, but fuel oil has decreased, as the country plans to abandon it;

- The volume of aviation kerosene from Russia has increased, and a large reserve has been created in Tashkent.

Thus, Uzbekistan is strengthening cooperation with neighboring Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan, reducing dependence on Russia in the import of petroleum products.
