Uzbekistan has confirmed its readiness to begin work on joining the unified transit system of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). This was announced during a meeting on November 13 between EAEU Minister for Customs Cooperation Ruslan Davydov and Chairman of the State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan, Akmalkhoja Mavlonov.
Joining the system will facilitate customs processes and ensure faster delivery of transit goods and cargo. The meeting also discussed issues related to the exchange of customs information about goods and vehicles.
This initiative will enhance transparency in foreign trade and strengthen controls. Ruslan Davydov familiarized himself with the activities of the target center and the electronic declaration center, emphasizing the incorporation of artificial intelligence into control processes and the system for evaluating inspectors' performance.
Furthermore, he highlighted the prospects for using electronic navigation seals within the EAEU framework and proposed exploring their application on the Tashkent-Saint Petersburg route. Read “Zamin” on Telegram!
