In the Bukhara region, subsidies totaling 15.3 billion soums have been paid to owners of solar panels, according to a statement from the Tax Committee.
The funds were allocated under a program aimed at promoting private electricity production. Individuals are earning 1,000 soums for each kilowatt-hour of electricity generated in excess of their consumption.
This surplus energy is being directly transferred to the country’s unified energy system. More than 4,200 households in the region have installed solar panels and are actively generating profit.
