In Andijan region, a probation service inspector was dismissed for attempting to extort money illegally from an inmate. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to the information, the probation group inspector of the Andijan Interior Ministry entered into illegal relations with an inmate woman for material benefit and demanded 1 million 600 thousand soms from her. He claimed that she had supposedly paid 800 thousand soms to a firm.
The woman, worried about the situation, contacted the Main Directorate of Personal Security, and thus the inspector was detained.
At a special meeting held by the Main Directorate of Personal Security, the actions of the inspector were discussed, and he decided to leave the internal affairs authorities voluntarily.
Additionally, it was previously reported that a police officer in the city of Bekabad, Tashkent region, was detained with 10 thousand dollars.
