Gas Production Declines as Exports Rise

Gas production decreases, exports rise
Although gas production in Uzbekistan has declined, fuel exports have reportedly increased. According to the National Statistics Committee, gas exports for the first ten months of 2025 reached $568.2 million, marking a 5.1 percent growth year-on-year.

According to Chinese customs data, Uzbekistan supplied raw materials worth a total of $695.58 million from January to October. Gas production dropped by 5.3 percent year-on-year, totaling 35.5 billion cubic meters.

Additionally, gas condensate production decreased from 1 million tons to 930,900 tons. The National Statistics Committee's report noted that as of early November, gas imports fell to $1.1 billion.

While gas production has declined, Kazakhstan has expressed readiness to increase the transit of Russian gas to Uzbekistan. By the end of the year, the volume of gas transit from Russia to Uzbekistan is expected to reach 6 billion cubic meters.
