Electronic document exchange saves Uzbekistan 24 billion som annually, said President Shavkat Mirziyoyev during a forum aimed at combating bureaucracy.
“The introduction of Public Service Centers, the Unified Portal, and the ‘Digital Government’ system has increased the number of state services from 444 to 1,040, with the total volume of services provided exceeding 55 million,” the President emphasized.
Recently, more than 90 active and interactive services have been introduced in the country, with approximately 30 services now available in real time. To reduce bureaucracy, over 160 licenses have been abolished, and opportunities to obtain more than 100 documents online have been created in the republic.
Additionally, entrepreneurs now have the ability to register their businesses remotely. By 2030, Tashkent aims to increase the number of state services to 1,500 and raise the share of online services to 95 percent.
Next year, 250 more services are planned for digitization as part of transitioning to a ‘Paperless Government’ system. Mirziyoyev also noted plans to simplify over 300 services in licensing, construction, and utility connection sectors.
New possibilities will be introduced for connecting to utility networks through a single application process. Moreover, the timeframes for providing more than 100 services will be reduced, while artificial intelligence is set to be integrated into the public services portal, the ‘Single Window’ system, and other infrastructures.
