
Erkinjon Turdimov has been appointed as the governor of Sirdaryo region. This was reported by the press service of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
His nomination was proposed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev during an extraordinary session of the Sirdaryo Regional Council of People's Deputies. Plans for the upcoming year include attracting USD 3 billion in investments to the region, increasing export volumes to USD 500 million, and creating 185,000 new jobs.
Erkinjon Turdimov served as the governor of the Navoi region until 2016. Later, he headed Surxondaryo region from 2016 to 2018 and Samarkand region from 2018 to 2024.
