On February 4, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed a presentation of proposals for further improving the preschool education and upbringing system. At the meeting, the main attention was paid to improving the quality of education, strengthening the development of children, and adapting the system to modern requirements.
At the presentation, a proposal was put forward to introduce a game-based learning model in preschool education. That is, the educational process is organized through play, taking into account the natural abilities, interests, and age characteristics of the child. This approach is expected to make "reading" not an obligation for the child, but an interesting process.
It is noted that the preschool period is a decisive stage for the intellectual, social, and spiritual growth of a child. Therefore, the renewal of the educational environment, the introduction of advanced foreign experience, and the strengthening of methods that serve the development of the child are considered important tasks.
The issue of introducing one-year preparatory groups for school as the initial stage of compulsory general secondary education was also discussed. The goal is to thoroughly prepare the child for school and ensure continuity in education.
Another important area is the formation of a network of preschool educational organizations "Yangi avlod." According to the plan, in 2026-2028, state kindergartens "Yangi Avlod" with 120 places and innovative centers for the development of children will be created in each region.
Personnel issues have not been left aside: measures are envisaged to increase the potential of teachers, update educational programs in accordance with international best practices, and prepare bachelors for practicing teachers with secondary specialized education based on dual education ("5+1").
The Head of State emphasized the need for a thorough and comprehensive elaboration of proposals, their gradual implementation without haste, but on the basis of a clear plan.
