Do Indian students prefer to study in Uzbekistan?

According to preliminary data published by the National Statistical Committee, a total of 39,700 foreign citizens arrived in Uzbekistan for the purpose of studying in 2025. This is 58.2% higher compared to the same period last year.

According to statistics, the majority of students were from India, reaching 17,241. In second place is Turkmenistan (9,349), followed by Tajikistan (2,904).

Citizens of Pakistan (1,779), China (1,428), South Korea (917), Kyrgyzstan (912), Egypt (893), the Philippines (745), and the USA (482) also chose to study in Uzbekistan. The remaining 3,011 students came from other countries.
