On Thursday, February 20, US Vice President J.D. Vance said that Ukraine will not be able to defeat Russia because it has a huge numerical advantage and that Europe's weapons reserves will eventually run out. He wrote on the X social network that for three years he and President Donald Trump have been giving "two simple arguments" about the war in Ukraine.

"First, if President Trump had been in office, the war would not have started; second, neither Europe, nor the Biden administration, nor the Ukrainians had a path to victory. This was true three years ago, two years ago, last year, and today," Vance said.

Trump is “working with truth and facts”

According to him, in relation to Ukraine, Trump is “working with truth, that is, with facts.” Among them, the US vice president cited the domestic policies of US allies in Western Europe in the field of migration and censorship that “insult the feelings of most Americans” and the defense policy that “allows them to continue excessive dependence.”

“Second, the Russians have a huge numerical advantage in terms of force and weapons in Ukraine, and this advantage will remain regardless of subsequent aid packages from the West. Moreover, the assistance is still being provided at the moment,” the vice president said.
