Moscow's CSKA club was supposed to receive 7.5 million euros for selling Uzbek footballer Abbosbek Fayzullayev to Turkey's “Bashakshehir” team. However, the club has so far accepted only 6 million euros, Kursiv.media reported.
According to sports journalist Ivan Karpov, the remaining 1.5 million euros is kept in a special account in Turkey. Currently, the army club's management is considering where to allocate these funds.
Karpov commented on the situation: “Then you ask, how does CSKA pay for Beltran? They have distributed such reserves worldwide many times. Don’t worry,” he wrote.
For reference, CSKA sold Fayzullayev to “Bashakshehir” at the end of July. Later, reports emerged about problems related to the transfer sum of 7.5 million euros.
On August 19, CSKA representative Kirill Breydo confirmed that the funds had been credited to the club's account. Fayzullayev made his debut for his new team on August 21 in a match against Romanian club “Universitatea Craiova”. The Turks lost the match.
