Uzbek citizens detained at Ben-Gurion with fake passports

At Israel's Ben-Gurion Airport, two Uzbek citizens were detained while attempting to enter the country using fake Israeli passports. This was reported by Israel's Cursorinfo news outlet.

According to the publication, a total of 16 individuals were apprehended with counterfeit documents. Among them, two were Uzbek nationals, while the remaining 14 were Georgian citizens. During the investigation, it was discovered that some of the passports had been issued in the names of deceased Israeli citizens.

Fifteen individuals arrived from Sochi, and one person came from Tbilisi. They were detained during passport control and subsequently interrogated. According to Cursorinfo, those detained admitted they had come to Israel with the intention of working illegally.
