Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev thanked U.S. President Donald Trump for extending an invitation to the G20 summit.
Tokayev made the remarks during a ceremony for the presentation of credentials. The event was also attended by the new U.S. ambassador to Astana, Julie Stafft.
The Kazakh leader described his dialogue with Trump during last year’s visit to the United States as friendly and substantive. He also emphasized that Astana intends to steadily develop strategic cooperation with the U.S. across various areas.
