New Year's celebration ended in blood: tragedy in Switzerland

A tragic incident occurred in Switzerland on the eve of New Year's. On the night of January 1, an explosion occurred in the territory of the famous ski resort Kran-Montana, located in the country's canton of Vale, followed by a powerful fire.

The incident occurred around 01:30 local time at a bar called Le Constellation, which was celebrating the New Year. It is reported that more than 100 people were in the building at the time of the incident.

Reuters, citing Swiss police, reported that nearly 40 people were killed and at least 115 injured in the explosion. At the same time, at a press conference held by the police, the exact number of victims was not stated, only "several dozen" people died.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan expressed its condolences to the people of Switzerland in connection with the tragedy. Also, according to official data, there are no citizens of Uzbekistan among the victims.

An investigation into the causes of the incident is underway.
