Africa Cup: Morocco beat Cameroon to reach the semifinals

In the Africa Cup of Nations quarterfinal, hosts Morocco delivered a confident performance at home against Cameroon, winning 2–0. The pressure from the stands was huge, but the Moroccans passed the “host test” perfectly.
In the first half, Morocco took control and Dias opened the scoring in the 26th minute. It was his fifth straight game with a goal, once again proving the striker’s excellent form. Cameroon tried to respond, but defensive mistakes and a lack of finishing accuracy troubled the “Indomitable Lions.”
In the second half, the more Cameroon pushed forward, the more dangerous Morocco’s counterattacks became. In the 74th minute, Saibari scored to put the game beyond doubt — 2–0. The hosts advanced to the semifinals.
Now Morocco, one step away from the final, will face the winner of Algeria vs Nigeria. The hosts are in high spirits, and Dias is not looking to end his streak — meaning more intense clashes are ahead.
