China said it is ready to enhance cooperation with Pakistan against attacks and telecommunications crimes, Chinese Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong said at a meeting with Pakistan's interior and counter-narcotics minister on Wednesday.
According to Wang Xiaohong, both sides should “effectively address various risks and challenges, and jointly safeguard the national security and social stability of both countries,” the ministry said.
Chinese citizens working in Pakistan, especially on Beijing-funded multi-billion-dollar infrastructure projects, have been attacked several times. In recent years, these attacks have caused major tension in bilateral relations.
Cooperation between China and Pakistan on security and against attacks is important for protecting the safety of citizens of both countries and continuing economic projects.
