IATA reports global passenger traffic up 5.7% in November

In November 2025, global air passenger traffic increased by 5.7%. According to the International Air Transport Association (IATA), aircraft seat occupancy reached a record level of 83.7%. This was reported by kursiv.uz. reports .

Most of the growth came from international routes, whose volume expanded by 7.7%. On domestic flights, the figure rose by 2.7%. Passenger demand grew fastest in Africa. In domestic markets, Brazil (+9%) and India (+8%) posted the strongest momentum, while U.S. domestic flights saw a decline of around 1–2%.

The cargo segment also delivered a positive result: global demand rose by 5.5%, and international cargo traffic increased by 6.9%. The biggest growth was recorded among African airlines (+15.6%) and in the Asia-Pacific region (+10.3%). At the same time, demand fell in North America (-1.6%) and Latin America (-4.8%).
