Trade-In Program for Old Cars Introduced in Tashkent

Trade-In system for old cars to be introduced in Tashkent
A Trade-In system for vehicles older than 15 years is planned to be introduced in Tashkent. This initiative was outlined in a decree by the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, assigning the task of developing this mechanism to the Ministry of Economic Development and Finance, along with «Uzavtosanoat».

The system will apply to passenger and freight vehicles. Owners of vehicles manufactured before 2010 and those not meeting «Euro-4» standards will be offered the opportunity to purchase new vehicles, with a requirement to pay an additional amount of money.

Additionally, the Ministry of Internal Affairs plans to conduct technical inspections of vehicles across the entire country by the end of next year. Furthermore, it is projected that 700 intersections in Tashkent will be equipped with intelligent traffic lights powered by artificial intelligence.
