Trade Between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan Exceeds $1 Billion

The trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan exceeded $1 billion last year, it has been reported. This figure was announced during a meeting between Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Turkmenistan's President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

The negotiations discussed the development of effective cooperation in the fields of industry, energy, and transport. The meeting was held privately on November 17.

The heads of state emphasized that this visit strengthens the ties of friendship and strategic partnership between the two countries. Additionally, the leaders of both nations commended the work of the intergovernmental commission.
