One-way traffic has been introduced on the road leading to recreation areas in the Tashkent region, the Road Traffic Safety Service reported.
The measure was implemented due to an increase in the number of people traveling to the mountainous areas of Bostanlyk district during holidays, to maintain public order in resort zones, ensure road safety, and prevent accidents and traffic jams.
“Based on this, vehicle movement on the road leading to mountain recreation areas of the district—such as Amirsoy, Chimgan and Bildirsoy—has been organized as one-way,” the report says.
It is noted that one-way traffic has been set from kilometer 57 to kilometer 92 of the 4R6 Tashkent—Chirchiq—Chimgan highway—up to its junction with the 4R10 road.
Thus, the one-way traffic measures on roads to recreation areas are important for ensuring road safety during New Year and holiday periods as well as in the summer season, enabling safer travel for citizens.
