Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola shared his thoughts on his colleague Enzo Maresca, who resigned from Chelsea. Guardiola called it a matter for Chelsea’s board, describing Maresca as a great coach and a great person.
"What can I say… Chelsea have let go of a very good person and a great coach. It’s the club board’s decision; I can’t say anything else," Guardiola said.
Speaking about his own situation, Guardiola stressed that luck is on his side. He said that with a contract at Manchester City and feeling the board’s respect, he tries to strengthen his work in advance. "I have a contract, the club respects me. That’s very important to me. Last season, when we ended up without trophies, I was convinced of it once again. I’ve said before: one day I will leave here. But I have a contract, so I want to fight for everything," he added.
