
The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) is planning to open a branch in Uzbekistan. This initiative aims to streamline transactions and financial operations between the two countries.
This was reported by *The Express Tribune.* The issue was discussed during the eighth session dedicated to Pakistan-Uzbekistan cooperation.
During the meeting, the parties agreed to strengthen interbank cooperation to remove trade barriers. Additionally, Pakistan is accelerating efforts to achieve an annual bilateral trade turnover of $2 billion.
Furthermore, the parties also deliberated on establishing direct flights connecting Karachi and Uzbek cities, as well as forming a joint group to expedite the certification process for pharmaceutical exports from Pakistan. Read “Zamin” on Telegram!
