On October 25, the "Early diagnosis saves lives" forum was held in Tashkent. This event was organized as part of the month dedicated to fighting breast and cervical cancer.
About 500 participants took part in the forum, including oncologists, gynecologists, medical professionals, representatives of international organizations and businesses, as well as women who have faced oncological diseases. The event was organized with the support of the Agency for Strategic Reforms under the President of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Health, the UN Population Fund (UNFPA), and Yandex Uzbekistan.
During the campaign in October, free screenings, lectures at universities, training sessions for journalists, and information campaigns with the participation of organizations such as Korzinka, Safia, Bon, Kimmy Lab, and O‘zbechka were held. Additionally, five new mammographs were delivered to different regions of the country, and a group of Uzbek doctors is preparing to undergo further training in the United States to study the team approach to the treatment of breast cancer.
