According to the results of 2025, crime in Uzbekistan decreased overall. This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Head of the Investigative Department, Colonel Ramazon Ashrapov, speaking at a conference dedicated to the year's results.
According to him, the total number of crimes decreased from 1,662 to 1,211 during the year. It was also noted that crimes committed by minors, women, previously convicted persons, and in a state of intoxication have sharply decreased. For example, crimes committed by women decreased from 4,167 to 3,214, and crimes committed while intoxicated - from 2,004 to 1,650 cases.
The number of crimes committed by the unemployed and groups has also decreased. The reduction in road accidents from 9,365 to 8,738 is also considered a positive indicator.
However, some types of crimes still require serious attention. In particular, 288 murders were registered in 2025. Although this is a decrease compared to last year (339 in 2024), the indicator remains concerning for society. Also, cases of rape increased by 6% and amounted to 381.
