Man Who Killed His Wife and Fled Caught in Andijan

Another heart-wrenching tragedy occurred in the city of Andijan. On July 4 at around 09:30 in the morning, a 47-year-old man named D.A. got into a serious argument with his 46-year-old wife, M.D. During the altercation, he grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed her in the neck. The woman died at the scene from severe injuries.

After committing the crime, the man fled the scene in an attempt to avoid capture. However, law enforcement authorities immediately launched a criminal investigation and a search operation for the suspect. The Andijan City Prosecutor’s Office opened a criminal case under Article 97, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (intentional homicide).

Within a few hours, D.A. was located in the Kumakay neighborhood of the Altiariq district in the Andijan region and was detained by patrol officers on night duty. He is currently in custody, and a thorough investigation is underway.

This tragedy once again highlights the importance of resolving family disputes in a timely manner, taking a firm stance against domestic violence, and ensuring the safety of women.
