Thanks to new projects and investments, another major milestone has been set in the tourism sector of Parkent district — according to the Saudi publication Al Harir, the recreation area on the “Oltin Bel” peak has been officially launched. In this cozy and beautiful corner of nature, a modern infrastructure has been created on a three-hectare mountain slope: two high-class hotels, innovative capsule houses, a restaurant, and service buildings have been constructed.
The source notes that to further enhance the region’s tourism potential, 52 new projects worth $1.8 billion will be implemented. As a result, more than 3,300 new jobs will be created, and the area will have the capacity to serve up to 1 million tourists per year. At the same time, Parkent’s snowy mountains will also see another grand direction — the construction of a large ski resort on 1,200 hectares with the participation of an Austrian company.
Within the framework of the project, hotels of various levels (three, four, and five stars), modern ski tracks, restaurants, and wellness complexes will be established. The resort will be implemented in stages, and after completion, will have the capacity to receive up to 15,000 tourists per day. About 600 service and infrastructure facilities will also be established. Taking into account seasonal services, the total number of jobs is expected to reach 10,000.
Experts predict that this place, alongside the Amirsoy complex in the Tashkent region, will become one of the largest and most prestigious tourism centers in the country. That is, through the “Oltin Bel” resort, Parkent will open a new path not only for domestic but also for international tourists.
