On the evening of July 10, another fire incident was recorded in the Bostanliq district of Tashkent region. This time, the fire occurred in a mountainous area — the Kichik Chimgan massif, part of the “Burchmulla” forest enterprise.
Around 19:32, the Tashkent regional Department of Emergency Situations received a message from local residents about rising flames. Upon receiving the urgent report, the regional emergency services immediately dispatched special fire-rescue crews to the scene.
According to the data, the fire started in a dry part of the mountain, where grass and branches had accumulated. Although initially small, the flame could quickly spread due to the wind, and an emergency situation assessment was conducted in the area. Currently, the area is in the peak of the recreation season, with many citizens vacationing in Kichik Chimgan amidst nature.
Fortunately, the fire did not damage any recreation zones, hotels, or residential homes. This was thanks to the efforts of emergency service personnel and local residents who assisted in quickly extinguishing the flames.
According to official information from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the fire ended without casualties. No one was injured during the incident. An investigation is currently underway to determine the exact cause and material damage.
Every year during the hot season, similar fires are commonly observed in mountainous and forested areas. In some cases, it results from people’s failure to follow fire safety rules, such as leaving lit cigarettes or improperly using open flames. For this reason, authorities urge the public to remain cautious during leisure activities in nature.
Additionally, government agencies plan to strengthen fire safety systems at recreation areas and forest management sites in the region.
The incident has sparked wide discussion among the public. On social media, many users have expressed gratitude to emergency personnel for their bravery and quick response in eliminating the danger.
The Tashkent Regional Emergency Department once again appealed to the public to strictly observe fire safety rules when vacationing outdoors. A single moment of carelessness can lead to a major fire and the loss of priceless natural assets.
Protecting nature is the responsibility of each one of us. Even a small flame, an unextinguished ember, or what seems like a minor mistake can turn into a tragedy — so every citizen must remain vigilant and act responsibly. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
