Fergana eatery caught stealing gas worth 2.87 billion UZS

A food service point in Fergana stole natural gas worth 2.87 billion UZS, reported UPL.uz.
According to the press service of Uzenergoinspeksiya, a secret connection to the gas supply system was uncovered.

Employees of the Fergana regional branch of Uzenergoinspeksiya, in cooperation with other law enforcement bodies, carried out an inspection. During the inspection, a food service outlet operated by the private company “X.Q.K.” in the Dangara district was examined.

It was discovered that all the kitchen’s gas equipment had been secretly connected to the gas network, bypassing the official consumption meter.

As a result, the damage to the gas supplier was estimated at 2 billion 887 million UZS.

All gathered materials have been handed over to law enforcement. A preliminary investigation is currently underway.
