Uzbek woman caught smuggling 41 kg of human hair
An Uzbek woman attempted to bring nearly 41 kg of human hair into Volgograd, reported Kursiv.media.
At Gumrak Airport in Volgograd, customs officials seized a large batch of human hair from a 37-year-old Uzbek citizen. She had arrived from Dubai and tried to pass through the “green corridor” with two suitcases, failing to declare the cargo.

Upon inspection, customs officers found 222 bundles of natural human hair, weighing a total of 40.9 kg. According to experts, the estimated value of the goods was over 4.3 million rubles (around $5,500).

The woman explained that she intended to use the hair for work at a beauty salon in Moscow and claimed she was unaware of the declaration requirement.

Volgograd’s Dzerzhinsky District Court ordered the goods to be confiscated in favor of the state as part of an administrative offense.
