The dollar exchange rate continues to rise
According to the official exchange rate announced by the Central Bank of Uzbekistan for July 8, 2025, 1 US dollar increased by 70.00 soums, reaching 12,676.73 soums.

This change is a continuation of the recent unstable trend, showing that the national currency's value against the US dollar is frequently fluctuating.

Experts believe that several internal and external factors are contributing to the growth of the dollar exchange rate. These include:
  • Uncertainties in international financial markets – the US Federal Reserve’s interest rate policy is drawing investor attention back to the dollar.
  • Increase in import volume – due to a rise in import operations during the summer season, demand for dollars in the market has grown.
  • Internal economic pressures – the growing need for foreign currency for consumption and production in the national economy is putting pressure on the national currency rate.

The increase in the dollar exchange rate may lead to higher prices for imported goods. This can intensify inflationary pressure. At the same time, such a situation provides certain advantages for exporters — they may earn more income from selling their products abroad.
