A special agricultural insurance fund will be established in Uzbekistan, according to the Ministry of Agriculture.
The fund will be created based on a decree signed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. It aims to assist farmers in covering losses to crops or livestock caused by natural disasters and diseases.
By 2030, the plan envisions increasing agricultural production by 20 percent and reducing risks for farmers. Starting from 2026, a phased implementation of crop insurance through preferential loans will be introduced.
By the end of 2025, an information system to serve farmers is scheduled to be launched.
