In Tashkent, car wash workers took a customer’s Tracker for a joyride and crashed it

In Tashkent, two young men working at a car wash were detained for taking a customer’s Tracker left for cleaning without permission and driving around the city streets at night. This was reported by podrobno.uz. reports .
They caught the attention of traffic police inspectors while driving in the Chilonzor area. The driver tried to evade pursuit but, after reaching the Yakkasaroy district, lost control and got into a road accident. The suspects then abandoned the damaged car and fled the scene.
Law enforcement identified the suspects, detained them in the Samarkand region, and brought them to Tashkent. A criminal case was opened under Article 267 of the Criminal Code (vehicle hijacking by a group of persons by prior conspiracy).
The court ordered the suspects to be held in custody for the duration of the investigation. Under this article, they face 10 to 15 years in prison.
