According to the Ministry of Higher Education, no separate special test examinations will be organized in the 2025/2026 academic year for applicants for named state and presidential scholarships.
As a reminder, the Cabinet of Ministers previously approved a new procedure for awarding presidential and named scholarships. It envisaged the introduction of additional assessments—tests in IT, the history of Uzbekistan, and foreign languages.
After that, it was reported that many students submitted inquiries regarding this update. The Ministry clarified that the new requirements will take effect only starting from the 2026/2027 academic year.
Therefore, in the current academic year, additional tests will not be applied to students who have successfully passed the selection stage at their university and submitted their documents for the national stage.
