150 km drainage system to be constructed in Tashkent
A 150 km closed drainage system is planned to be constructed in Tashkent starting next year. This was announced by President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev during a meeting on Tashkent's development.

"Water circulation in all streets, ditches, and canals of the city must be ensured," said Shavkat Mirziyoyev. As part of the drainage system project, an additional 63 km of canals will be installed in the capital.

Additionally, 197 km of existing channels and collectors will be repaired. Seventeen facilities will be built to collect rainwater, which will then be used to irrigate trees and green areas.

Moreover, all public utility and emergency services in the capital will switch to an uninterrupted operation mode.
