By the end of 2025, Uzum Bank, one of Uzbekistan’s leading digital banks, was awarded five prestigious awards by the international payment system Visa. This recognition highlights the bank’s significant achievements in advancing its card business, the widespread implementation of digital technologies, and establishing effective communication with clients.
Visa experts annually evaluate their partner banks based on key criteria such as the share of cashless payments, security standards, and the quality of customer service. According to the results of 2025, Uzum Bank recorded unprecedented growth in card issuance: as of today, more than 3.7 million Uzbekistan residents use Visa cards issued by Uzum.
The bank also received special awards for its leadership in digital communications, the efficient implementation of instant money transfers via the Visa Direct service, and the successful introduction of advanced security solutions such as Visa Token Services and 3D authentication systems.
Svetlana Khe, Chairperson of Uzum Bank, emphasized that the fintech sector in Uzbekistan is developing at a steady pace and that digital banks are becoming a driving force in the financial services market. According to her, the expansion of digital solutions is strengthening the payment infrastructure and contributing to the growth of cashless transactions.
