Gold came out of the sweets

At Tashkent International Airport, customs officers uncovered an attempt to illegally import a large quantity of jewelry. A citizen arriving from Dubai attempted to secretly pass valuable gold items through customs control.

It was reported that the passenger was moving through the “green” corridor when his suspicious behavior drew the attention of customs officials. During the inspection, gold jewelry was found skillfully hidden in hand luggage, travel bags, and inside packages of sweets.

As a result of the examination, jewelry with a total weight of approximately 300 grams, valued at 438 million soums, was identified. An investigation is currently being conducted in accordance with the law regarding this incident.
