Videos circulated on social media alleging that colored wastewater was being discharged into the Bozsuv Canal. JSC "Uzsuvtaminot" gave an official comment on the situation.
It is reported that there are 3 facilities for biological treatment of wastewater coming out of Tashkent. They are intended for household water supplied by the population and are not adapted for the treatment of industrial chemical waste.
"In fact, every manufacturing enterprise should have a local facility that filters chemical emissions. "However, due to the high cost of their operation, some enterprises discharge wastewater directly into the sewer system," the report says.
According to official information, the colored water entering the canal is mainly waste from textile enterprises. "Uzsuvtaminot" called on all producers to abandon such behavior and comply with the norms of nature and society.
