The Africa Cup of Nations officially kicked off, and the opening match of the tournament aroused great interest among the fans. In the first match, the Moroccan national team played against the Comoros and secured a convincing 2-0 victory.
The start of the match wasn't easy for the Moroccans. In the 11th minute, Rahimi was given a penalty, but the striker failed to capitalize on the opportunity. Despite this, the Moroccan players maintained full control of the game and did not allow the opponent to create a practically dangerous opportunity.
In the second half, the tempo of the game increased even more. In the 55th minute, Brahim Dias opened the scoring with a precise shot, becoming the author of the first goal in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. This goal instilled confidence in the team, and the attacks became more systematic.
Al Kaabi, who came on as a substitute in the 74th minute, made his statement. He capitalized on an error in the opponent's defense, scoring a goal and putting the final point in the match. Thus, Morocco officially scored the first three points in the tournament.
