Lucien Favre Retires from Coaching at Age 68

Former head coach of Borussia Dortmund, Lucien Favre, has announced his retirement from professional coaching. The 68-year-old Swiss specialist stated that he has decided to end his career as a coach.

Favre noted that constant commitments and the fast pace of work made the years pass unnoticed for him. He mentioned that for a long time, age did not feel significant to him, but over time, he has observed that modern football coaching is increasingly dominated by younger individuals.

In addition to Borussia Dortmund, Favre has managed Hertha in Germany and Nice in France. He parted ways with Nice in 2023.
