Cristiano Ronaldo, by agreement with the coach, has not been playing in the AFC Champions League Two (Asia’s second most prestigious club competition) group-stage matches. Even so, Al Nassr are delivering confident results without their captain. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .
On Wednesday, the Saudi club won their fifth group match as well, making it five wins from five games. In Tajikistan, Istiklol suffered a heavy 0–4 defeat.
After the match, Ronaldo reposted on social media a post saying Al Nassr had finished top of the group and advanced to the next round, adding fire and clapping emojis.
The 40-year-old Portuguese star’s current contract with Al Nassr runs until mid-2027.
