Bad news has arrived for Real Madrid. The team’s leading striker Kylian Mbappe will be unable to play for the remainder of the 2025–2026 season because of the injury he sustained.
According to El Chiringuito TV, the injury initially assessed as minor has in fact proved to be much more serious. The club is expected to issue an official statement on the player’s condition in the coming days.
Previously, it was said that Mbappe had a strain in the hamstring of his left leg. He left the pitch in the 81st minute in Real’s La Liga Round 32 match against Betis, and since then his condition has come under even closer scrutiny.
Looking at the statistics, the French star had become the team’s main force this season, featuring in 28 matches and scoring 24 goals with 4 assists. For that reason, his absence is certain to be a serious blow for the team of the “cream-coloreds”.
It should be recalled that Mbappe also missed several matches in February–March because of knee problems. So this season has become a year of battling injuries for him.
The main question now is whether he can fully recover before the 2026 World Cup. French fans and the football public are waiting for a positive answer to that question.
In short, this is a heavy loss for Real, but for Mbappe this pause is an opportunity to regain strength and return even stronger.
