SpeakOn $129 dictation device for iPhone unveiled

Notta’s "SpeakOn" brand has introduced a special dictation device designed for iPhone users. The gadget, which attaches to the back of a smartphone using MagSafe technology, is priced at $129. This was reported by Techcrunch.com report.
The device’s main function is to convert voice into text and provide quick use in various apps.
Weighing only 25 grams, the device has its own microphone and works independently of the smartphone microphone. The user only needs to hold down a button and speak, and the special keyboard app will automatically convert speech into text.
The system filters out filler words in speech and can format the text as a list.
During testing, shortcomings were identified in the device’s microphone quality and software limitations. In particular, the smartphone has to be held close to the face to record sound well.
It was also observed that the AI-based editing function sometimes changes words without justification.
The gadget can operate continuously for 10 hours and is fully charged within one hour. The device supports several languages, including English, Spanish, French and Russian.
For now, this technology works only on the iOS platform, and it is expected to become compatible with Mac computers in the future.
