The Government of Uzbekistan launched a new initiative aimed at improving the educational and cognitive potential of young people. In accordance with Resolution No. 632, adopted on October 8, 2025, special subsidies will be allocated for young people wishing to learn foreign languages.
The decision will be implemented based on the "2+6" program. According to it, young people who have a foreign language certificate will cover the cost of education for the first 2 months at their own expense, and the next 6 months of study will be financed from the Youth Affairs Agency Fund.
According to the document, the amount of the subsidy varies by region:
- in the city of Tashkent - up to 2 times the GRP, that is, 824 thousand soums;
- In regional centers - up to 1.5 times, that is, 618 thousand soums;
- In districts and cities - up to 1 GRP, that is, 412 thousand soums.
The program will cover up to 20,000 young people in 2025-2026. It is also planned to allocate financial assistance for language learning to about 20 thousand young people annually until 2031. If the annual limit is reached, the scholarship will be transferred for the next year.
Subsidies are provided only to training centers that are registered through the electronic system and whose attendance is monitored electronically. This, in turn, ensures the transparency of the educational process and helps to control the targeted spending of state funds.
It is noted that this initiative aims to increase young people's interest in learning foreign languages, transform them into competitive specialists in the modern market, and open the way to foreign education and employment opportunities.
