Russia begins sending humanitarian aid to Iran

Russia has begun sending humanitarian aid to Iran. This was announced by Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova.

The Iranian leadership has appealed for assistance from friendly countries due to the destruction of many hospitals and ambulance stations, as well as an increase in the number of wounded, including among women and children. In this context, Tehran requested the supply of medicines and medical supplies from Russia.

According to Zakharova, work is being organized to send this aid on behalf of the President of Russia.

Moscow expressed serious concern about the uncontrolled escalation of the conflict in the Middle East. The Russian side noted that the military actions of the US and Israel against Iran have complicated the situation in the entire region.

It was reported that the militants' actions also had severe humanitarian consequences for the population of several Arab states around the Persian Gulf.

The Russian Foreign Ministry's statement emphasized the need to cease hostilities and resolve the issue diplomatically to prevent the threat of an ecological and radiological disaster.
