Medical Services to Be Offered at Public Rates Starting 2026

Starting from January 2026, the people of Uzbekistan will be able to assess the quality of medical services. This was announced by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev during a meeting with healthcare workers.

“Today, people's attitudes, expectations, and perspectives on life are changing. This demands an improvement in the quality of medical services.

We will carry out the necessary preparations in November and December, and from January, we will implement a system that takes public opinion into account,” said the president. Additionally, the heads of 26 medical centers, as well as regional, district health authorities, and clinic directors, will work based on monthly plans.

These officials will engage with the population through television and social media, providing information about the most common illnesses and ways to reduce their occurrence. Moreover, doctors will conduct awareness campaigns about the importance of medical examinations, proper nutrition, physical activity, and maintaining health.

The heads of medical centers will visit the most challenging areas and neighborhoods to study the root causes of illnesses, seek solutions, and introduce local doctors to modern treatment methods.
