The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has signed a resolution on measures for the stable development of the housing and mortgage market. In accordance with the resolution, a National Committee will be established.
The primary tasks of the committee include improving the efficiency of state governance in the areas of urbanization and housing. Draft regulatory and legal documents related to housing construction and support for the sector must be coordinated with the committee on a mandatory basis.
These measures pertain to state support, the implementation of projects in Tashkent and regional centers, as well as the approval of annual building plans for multi-story housing, including the "New Uzbekistan" residential complexes. The committee will employ 50 staff members.
The organization has the right to directly contract domestic and international experts. Responsibility for the committee's activities is assigned to its chairperson, while overall oversight and coordination will be carried out by the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Abdulla Aripov.
